I need to write it down...because this is not going to last. But right now, my 10 year old thinks I'm the greatest and it's so super awesome! He listens to everything I say, and he repeats it like it's gospel! He thinks I'm the smartest, coolest, funniest person in the world! And I'm trying not to believe the hype...but man, I'm really enjoying this! Like really!
I'm thinking that I should get him to write this all down for me, how awesome he thinks I am, so the first time he screams at me that he hates me, I can whip it out and shove it in his snarky face and say "no you don't and I got it in WRITING, you little shit!!!" Or something like that. You know how it goes.
I wonder what point it is where your kid starts thinking you're lame? I vividly remember being about 14 and thinking that every word my mother said to me was just SUCH crap, and that she was just SO stupid and wrong about everything. That lasted until I was approximately 30. So I've got 2 good years left, I figure, before it all starts going downhill. That is going to suck.
Then again, maybe I really AM the most awesome mom...and maybe I'll be the one mom whose kids continue to worship her continuously, forever! It's possible! Although Graeme already totally sees through me, and thinks I'm wrong about everything, and he's barely 4 (little jerkhead).
This mom gig. It's crazy. Stupid biological clock.

Fifteen Years!
That's how long it's been since I first put the moves on Michael (and by "the moves", I mean I kissed him...that's IT!) So we consider this our "anniversary", since we were never stupid enough to get married. When I say "fifteen years", it seems like such a long time. I was so young when I met him. I know people get married at younger than 25, but they are seriously nuts. Fifteen years and two kids, two cats (only one is still around) and one dog. And somewhere in there, there was a hedgehog, but we won't speak of him. RIP Englebert.
So tonight, in celebration, we shall eat exactly what we ate on that night. KFC. I know...I really AM the luckiest girl in the whole world.
